Sophisticated skills in high-end communication protocols are required for Grid computing. This includes design and implementation skills for highly robust and efficient protocols that allow high-volume, high-speed communication. Policy-based communication includes QoS support. IBM's Deep Computing effort comprises an extensive skill base in multidimensional routing algorithms.
