The IBM Zurich Research Lab is the European branch of IBM's worldwide
Research division. Our aim is to promote fundamental and applied
research that will be at the core of IBM products, services and solutions.
Research staff members (RSMs) are expected to lead their own
or contribute to research projects that are expected to have a
significant impact on IBM and its clients. RSMs are also active
in the worldwide scientific research community.
Candidates must hold a PhD in Computer Science and be active members
of the scientific research community. They must be able to define
new research directions and but also to contribute to ongoing activities.
They are expected to carry out a project from exploratory thinking
to the deployment of practical solutions. We emphasize international
teamwork, and value excellent communication skills. A strong drive
to create innovative solutions and to work with partners inside
and outside of IBM is a must.
Specifically, we are looking for a renowned researcher who
can contribute to our research as follows.

The Security & Assurance group is pursuing
a wide variety of research activities in the area of information
security and compliance. We are working on policy analysis and
translation, trusted computing, intrusion detection, security
in social networks, and related projects. Given our broad portfolio
of research activities, we are looking for candidates who are
flexible towards and interested in security research topics
beyond their own area of expertise. |
