IDD is a network-based IT asset discovery and categorization tool.
It combines various discovery, scanning and traffic analysis programs
with distributed automation and data mining techniques into a single
best-of-breed IT infrastructure assessment tool. IDD is commonly
used to perform auto-discovery on corporate infrastructures in support
of strategic outsourcing engagements and due diligence, for reconciliation
of system counts in large existing customer contracts, and for network
documentation and infrastructure vulnerability assessment. The tool
is also instrumental in providing a baseline for infrastructure
consolidation, business optimization, and IT audit and governance
projects.
