World’s largest OLED display

Zurich, March 13, 2003—Chi Mei Optoelectronics has announced the world’s largest organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display driven by amorphous silicon thin-film transistors (TFTs). Core pieces of the underlying technology have been developed at IBM’s Zurich Research Laboratory as well as at IBM research labs in the US and in Japan.
