The IBM Zurich Research Laboratory is involved in more than 80 projects
with universities worldwide, participates in about 30 research programs
established by the European Union, the Swiss government or the US
government, and it cooperates widely with research institutes of industrial
partners.
The Business Development & Relations team is the contact point
for all these partnerships. It is assisting IBM scientists in identifying
government research programs, in choosing the legal frame and establishing
various cooperation contracts, and in administering them. It works
closely with the Intellectual Property department as well as other
IBM legal functions worldwide.
