Quantum Blur

We are proud to introduce an entirely new collaboration on using quantum computing for art between Polish-born artist living in Berlin Roman Lipski and our team Stephan Schneider, James Wootton, Marcel Pfaffhauser, Mira Wolf-Bauwens and Walter Riess.

Using Quantum Blur, Roman Lipski and the team were able to create a new form of art.

What is Quantum Blur?

Quantum Blur is a process for manipulating images, based on quantum computation. The image is expressed as a quantum state, and then modified using quantum software. This allows the different parts of the image to spread out and combine through the principle of quantum interference. This creates new and unique variants of the original image, allowing them to be seen from new perspectives.

On November 25th, 2021 we inaugurated the first-of-its-kind Quantum Blur exhibition in Berlin.
