The Industry Solutions Lab (ISL) is a joint effort between IBM Research and IBM's Global Industries and Services organizations. There are four ISL locations: one in Hawthorne, New York, one in Dehli, India, one in Beijing, China and the other at IBM's Zurich Research Laboratory in Rüschlikon, Switzerland. The Zurich ISL is an integral part of the European Forum Center organization and provides the capability to make research values accessible for all clients in all markets at any time.

IBM's Industry Solutions Laboratories bring together customers and researchers in a unique and effective way. The Industry Solutions Labs give companies from a wide variety of industries the opportunity to see how IBM's advanced technologies and solutions could impact their businesses, while IBM researchers obtain a market's-eye view of the ways in which their technology can be applied to real-world problems. The Research Division's involvement in the labs' activities gives customers a vision of the future that few competitors can match, and assures customers of IBM's commitment to creating innovative, state-of-the-art solutions.

IBM Industry Solutions Lab, Zurich, Switzerland

IBM's Industry Solutions Labs are designed for IBM customers, especially senior executives with business and financial responsibilities. The labs are a forum and catalyst for customers to discuss their business problems with IBM'ers and for us to marshal our Research and Industry expertise to help solve them. The Labs are also the places where customers can get firsthand experience with innovative prototype solutions—and work with the inventors! IBM customers begin to think differently and creatively about business challenges and the transformational role of Information Technology. Innovative work from all 8 worldwide IBM Research Centers, as well as IBM thought leaders from around the world are presented to visitors in our new audio/video executive briefing rooms.
