Zurich, Switzerland, 2004—IBM's Privacy Research Institute, established in 2001 as an organization within IBM Research to promote and advance research in privacy and data-protection technology, announced the winner of its 2004 Privacy Faculty Award.
Based on her impressive track record in enterprise-related privacy technologies as well as her long-standing committment to research in privacy-enabling technologies, the panel members granted the award to Lorrie Cranor on behalf of the Carnegie Mellon University.
